Artist:

Leonilson (1957–1993) became one of the most important Brazilian contemporary artists of the 80´s generation, expressing the vulnerability of life through his work. Leda Catunda, an old friend of his, was invited to write about the exhibition that gathered works of different techniques: paintings, drawings and sculptures. The selected art pieces were brought together from particular collections, among them some that have never been publicly showed before. They were produced between 1983 and 1993 — ten of the twelve years of the artist’s production.
